Swinside End Farm has four bedrooms for bed and breakfast. As well as being a working hill farm, it is also our family home and we look forward to welcoming you. The following is a summary of our provision but if you have any specific questions then please feel free to call us.
When booking you will be asked for a letter of confirmation and a small deposit which is non-refundable. You will then receive a confirmation letter.
Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
We are situated on the hill at Scales, above High Lorton. There is ample private parking in front of the house on a hard standing tarmac surface. Walking from the car parking area to the front door is via a reasonably level surface with no steps. It is five metres from the garden to the front door.
Main Entrance Porch & Reception
The doors throughout the property are of standard opening size. There are two 16cm steps at the front door into the tiled floor porch area with an additional 16cm step at the door into the carpeted hallway (reception).
Public Areas - Lounge, Dining Room and Stairs
The lounge and dining room areas are accessed from the hallway and are carpeted. The access is level with no steps. There are thirteen standard carpeted steps on the staircase to the first floor bedrooms.
All of the four carpeted double bedrooms are on the first floor with level access from the stairs. All bedrooms have en-suite shower facilities with inward opening doors and a 24cm step into the shower. One bedroom also has the provision of a bath.
The garden is available for our guests to wander around or sit out and admire the views. It is accessed from the front door via steps and is on gentle sloping land via paths and lawns.
Dogs and other pets are allowed but unfortunately not in the house.
